Job Vacancies Fraud Shocking, Transjakarta Affirms Employee Recruitment Is Not Charged
JAKARTA - PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) emphasized that it has never collected any fees in the selection process and recruitment of Transjakarta employees. This is in response to the case of job vacancies fraud in Transjakarta by the perpetrator with the initials RP.
Head of the Public Relations and CSR Transjakarta Department, Ayu Wardhani, emphasized that the public is asked not to accept work offers from anyone on behalf of Transjakarta at certain costs.
"We emphasize that Transjakarta has never collected any fees from prospective applicants in all stages of the selection and recruitment process. If someone asks for money transfers, accommodation fees, or other rewards, please ignore them immediately because it is a fraud," Ayu told reporters, Thursday, December 4.
Ayu appealed to the public and job seekers to be careful of information on job vacancies circulating. In addition to the cost-free employee selection process, Ayu also emphasized that the information was only conveyed on the official channel.

"We are not responsible for material or non-material losses experienced by the public due to fraud that utilizes the name Transjakarta. People are expected to only hold on to information from our official channel," explained Ayu.

Tebet Police have arrested a man with the initials RP (50), a resident of Bogor, in the Tebet area, South Jakarta. He is suspected of being involved in a job vacancy fraud case with a total loss of around Rp40 million for the victim.
Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Police, Kompol Murodhi, explained that the RP was handed over to investigators after the Unit 1 Criminal Investigation Unit received a report and brought the alleged perpetrator on Wednesday, November 3, 2025, at around 22.00 WIB.
"The perpetrator is suspected of having committed a criminal act of fraud and embezzlement that occurred about two weeks ago in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta," he said in a written statement Thursday, November 4, 2025.
In the action, RP promised that victims could be accepted for work as security guards, TransJakarta bus drivers, and a number of other positions. The victims were asked for a large amount of money.
"The victim was asked to pay a sum of money ranging from Rp. 2 million, to Rp. 4 million, but until now the victims have not worked," he said.
