Prabowo Receives Chairperson Of Chinese MPR Wang Huning At Merdeka Palace

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto received a visit from the Chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of China Wang Huning at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday afternoon.

Based on ANTARA's monitoring, Wang Huning's motorcade arrived at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta at around 11.35 WIB, Thursday, December 4, escorted by five motor escort troops.

At the western coast of the Merdeka Palace, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi welcomed Wang Huning who was wearing a black suit.

The two shook their hands warmly before stepping together. Wang Huning's arrival was also greeted by entertaining dances.

Furthermore, President Prabowo, who was wearing a gray suit, was waiting at the Merdeka Palace Tuesday.

The Head of State then greeted and invited Wang Huning into the Kredential Room to conduct a joint photo session and sign a state guest book as a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

After that, President Prabowo introduced the Indonesian delegation who welcomed him at the Merdeka Palace.

A number of officials who welcomed the Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly Ahmad Muzani, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Christiawan Nasir.

Furthermore, the two of them held a one-on-one meeting. President Prabowo is also scheduled to hold lunch with Wang Huning.

It is known that Wang Huning arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten at around 13.25 WIB, based on an official statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday.

This visit is an important momentum in strengthening strategic relations and bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and China, especially in the field of parliamentary diplomacy and the development of future partnerships.

In addition to meeting President Prabowo, the Chairperson of the Chinese People's Consultative Assembly will also visit the parliament complex in Senayan to meet the leaders of the MPR RI, DPR RI, and DPD RI.
