Case Of Death Of Brigadier Nurhadi: LPSK Goes To TKP, Application For Protection Misri Puspita Still Rejected
MATARAM - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) rejected a request for protection from Misri Puspita Sari, one of the suspects in the alleged murder case of Brigadier Muhammad Nurhadi (MN).
LPSK assesses that there is no solid basis for providing protection because Misri's statement is considered inconsistent.
"We reject Misri's petition," said LPSK Expert Tomi Permana, in Mataram, Antara, Wednesday, December 3.
Tomi explained that the decision was taken after going through a series of studies. LPSK assessed that Misri's statement had repeatedly changed and was deemed incompatible with the conditions on the ground.
"The person concerned did not know about the incident at all, even though at that time he was at the location," he said.
LPSK even checked directly at the villa where the incident occurred to confirm Misri's statement, who claimed to be in the bathroom when Brigadier Nurhadi allegedly drowned in a small pool.
"If the position is in the bathroom, it is clear that the sound is out. Moreover, the situation of the villa is quiet, it can still be heard from outside the bathroom," said Tomi.
In this case, Misri was named a suspect under the suspicion of Article 221 of the Criminal Code regarding obstruction of justice for allegedly obstructing investigations. In contrast to the other two suspects 'Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris' who were subject to Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder and/or Article 354 paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code.
The case file Misri is currently still with police investigators with the detention status suspended. The process is one step behind the files of Kompol Yogi and Ipda Aris who have entered the trial stage.
