Melani Mecimapro Charged With Fraud And Embezzlement: Use Rp35 Billion For Personal Needs
JAKARTA - Director of PT Melania Citra Permata (Mecimapro), Fransiska Dwi Meilani alias Melani, underwent his first trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday, December 2.
In the indictment read by the Public Prosecutor (JPU), Melani is said to have harmed PT Media Inspiration of the Nation as a colleague in cooperation in holding a Twitter concert in Jakarta on December 23, 2023.
Therefore, Melani is subject to criminal penalties as regulated in Article 372 of the Criminal Code concerning embezzlement or Article 378 of the Criminal Code concerning fraud.
"That due to the actions of the Defendant Fransiska Dwi Meilani, he did not pay Rp10 billion to PT Media Inspiration of the Nation, resulting in losses to PT Media Inspiration of the Nation amounting to Rp10 billion," said the Public Prosecutor.
The reason Melani became a defendant was because the Director of Mecimapro was referred to as the full control holder of the company's account.
From the Twice concert, the Public Prosecutor also stated that Mecimapro won a profit of Rp35 billion. However, the proceeds from these profits are only used for Melani's personal interests.
