Chairman Of The DPRD Urges Pramono To Immediately Announce The 2026 DKI UMP
JAKARTA - The determination of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in 2026 is requested not to be delayed again. The DKI DPRD encourages DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to immediately make a decision so that various sectors that depend on the UMP can adjust their plans.
Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Khoirudin, said that certainty regarding the UMP is needed not only for workers, but also for the business world and other services that use the UMP as a reference.
"I encourage the Governor to immediately determine the Jakarta UMP in 2025," said Khoirudin at the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, December 2.
According to him, the Ministry of Manpower has provided guidance in the form of a range of minimum wage increases to local governments. Moreover, the need for certainty of the UMP increase towards the end of the year concerns many technical matters that affect Ibu Lota's economic activities.
"Because the UMP is a benchmark for many parties, including transportation and so on, including entrepreneurs, waiting for the determination from the Governor for the UMP in DKI Jakarta," said Khoirudin.
Meanwhile, DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung admitted that he could not determine the increase in the DKI Jakarta UMP in 2026. This is because the DKI Jakarta Provincial Wage Council is still discussing tripartite to formulate the increased wage value. They consist of elements of the government, representatives of employers, and representatives of workers.
"We are waiting for that. If it has been reported to the Governor later, of course at that time we will openly convey it to the public," said Pramono on Monday, December 1.
However, Pramono admitted that he could not confirm whether the increase in the DKI Jakarta UMP in 2026 would be determined worth the willingness of the labor group. Workers are currently demanding an increase in the UMP of 10 percent to IDR 6 million.
"Yes, it was only discussed. I (issued the decision) at the end," said Pramono.
A number of workers who are members of the Federation of Workers Union Federations throughout Jakarta held a demonstration in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall on December 17 aalu. They demanded an increase in the provincial minimum wage (UMP) with high value next year.
Chairman of DPD FSP LEM DKI Jakarta Yusuf Suprapto demanded that DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung set the DKI Jakarta UMP in 2025 of IDR 6 million.
"We are DKI Jakarta workers, DKI Jakarta workers, who will demand a UMP of 6 million rupiah. That the 6 million figure is a decent figure and a figure that can meet the needs of a decent living for workers in DKI Jakarta," explained Yusuf.
In comparison, the DKI Jakarta UMP this year is in the range of Rp5.39 million. If the demand for workers is granted to Rp6 million, there will be an increase of around Rp600 thousand, or approximately 10 percent of the current minimum wage.

In addition, workers also demand a determination of the provincial sectoral minimum wage (UMSP) with a minimum value of 5 percent above the UMP which has been increased in 2026.
"Don't let it touch what is called the existing sectoral wage last year and then want to be eliminated. We ask that it be returned, as in the previous existing ministerial regulations, 5 percent above the provincial minimum wage in DKI Jakarta," he concluded.
