Today The KPK Schedules Ridwan Kamil's Examination In The BJB Bank Advertising Case
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has scheduled an examination of former Central Java Governor Ridwan Kamil today, December 2. He will be examined as a witness in the corruption case in the procurement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR).
"It's true, we confirm that today the investigator has scheduled a summons to RK," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters through his written statement, Tuesday, December 2.
Budi has not detailed the material that will be explored from Ridwan Kamil. However, a statement is needed.
"(Called, red) in the capacity as Governor of West Java at the time of the temporary corruption case related to the procurement of advertisements in BJB," he said.
Furthermore, the KPK hopes that Ridwan Kamil will fulfill the summons. Investigators are waiting for the presence of the Golkar Party politician.
"We believe that Mr. RK will be present to meet the inspection schedule by investigators today," said Budi.
As previously reported, the Acting Deputy for Enforcement and Execution of the KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu revealed that a summons for Ridwan Kamil as the former Governor of West Java had been sent. Requests for information regarding allegations of corruption in the procurement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) will be carried out.
"We have already done the call, so we just have to wait," Asep told reporters at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Monday night, December 1.
"What is clear is that we have been sent," he continued.
Asep could not confirm whether the letter had been received or not. "A week ago, yes, we might send it. So, we estimate that it has arrived (the letter, ed)," said Asep, who also serves as Director of KPK Investigation.
Ridwan Kamil was dragged into the vortex of this case because he was suspected of buying a Mercedes Benz 280 SL from Ilham Akbar Habibie, who is the son of the 3rd President of the Republic of Indonesia B. J. Habibie. This transaction allegedly uses non-budgeter funds managed by the Corporate Secretary (Corsec) Division of Bank BJB.
This fund, called the KPK, is also used for other activities that are not included in the official budget. As long as it is suspected from the difference in paying for the procurement of advertisements for Bank BJB returned by the tender winning company.
The KPK has named five suspects in connection with allegations of corruption in the procurement of advertisements at PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR).
They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi; Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto; Agency Controller Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Agency Controller BSC Advertising and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Ekspres (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controller of PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma.
This case investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025. The actions of the five suspects are suspected of having caused the state to lose up to Rp22 billion.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended according to the needs of the investigation.
In handling this alleged corruption, investigators have searched a number of places. One of them, Ridwan Kamil's private house and confiscated a Royal Enfield motorcycle.
