Indonesia Vs Afghanistan Trial Match: Shin Tae-yong: No Joking Around, Must Be Serious

JAKARTA - Indonesia national team coach Shin Tae-yong says the players' focus and concentration will be key when they face Afghanistan in a test match in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Tuesday, May 25.

"Players must continue to focus and concentrate fully, both in training and in matches. You can't mess around, you have to be serious," Shin said, as quoted by Antara from PSSI's official website, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

The South Korean tactician reminded his foster children that Afghanistan would definitely play to win.

Therefore, a little off guard, the garuda squad can leave the field with defeat.

In general, Shin Tae-yong mentions that all his players are in good shape and work hard in training.

On Monday, Evan Dimas and friends underwent a practice of maturation tactics.

"Players practice defensive tactics, attack, 'set pieces' including free-kicks and corners. Previously we also improved muscle strengthening," shin said.

The Indonesian national team will fight Afghanistan today starting at 6:30 p.m. local time. The match was planned to take place at the national team's training ground, Jebel Ali Sports Center and Shooting Club, Dubai.

"It was his plan at the training ground. However, we are still worried about the lighting there," said assistant national team coach Nova Arianto.

It was one of Indonesia's test matches in the UAE in preparation for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

After the party, the Indonesian national team will face Oman on Saturday.

Indonesia will play the last three matches of Group G of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers which are all concentrated in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 3-11 June 2021.

In Group G, Garuda's squad will face Thailand on 3 June 2021, then Vietnam on 7 June 2021, and the United Arab Emirates on 11 June 2021.
