Flood Alert, BMKG: The Majority Of Indonesia's Territory Is Raining Today
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reminded the entire community that the majority of Indonesia will experience rain on Sunday, November 30.
BMKG forecaster Ina Indah Hapsari predicts that a number of areas in Sumatra such as Padang, Jambi, Bengkulu, Tanjung Pinang, Pangkal Pinang, and Palembang will experience light rain.
"Meanwhile, Banda Aceh is cloudy, and Medan, Pekanbaru, and Bandar Lampung are thick cloudy," explained Ina, quoted by Antara, Sunday morning.
In Java, he continued, light rain is also predicted to fall in Serang, Jakarta, Bandung and Semarang. Yogyakarta is forecasted to be thick cloudy and running air is predicted to occur in Surabaya.
In the Kalimantan region, he explained, light rain is also predicted to fall in Pontianak, Tanjung Selor, Palangkaraya, Samarinda, as well as rain accompanied by lightning in Banjarmasin.
"Denpasar is forecasted to be thick cloudy, light rain is predicted in Mataram, and thunderstorms are predicted to occur in Kupang," he said.
As for Sulawesi, light rain is also predicted to fall in Makassar, Mamuju, Gorontalo, Manado, and Kendari. Meanwhile, Palu is forecasted to run away.
