DKI Provincial Government Distributes Aid For Flood Victims And Longsor North Sumatra

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has gathered and distributed aid to residents affected by floods and landslides in a number of areas of North Sumatra. Efforts to accelerate handling have become the focus of local governments since disaster reports were received.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno emphasized that the quick response was a priority for the DKI Provincial Government in an emergency situation.

"We acted quickly and immediately responded to the disaster that occurred in Sumatra. I ask for help to be collected so that it can be sent immediately," said Rano, Sunday, November 30.

According to Rano, coordination with various parties continues so that the type of assistance sent according to the needs in the field.

"We ensure that the goods sent are the most needed, based on a direct report from the disaster management team that is already on standby at the location," he explained.

The DKI Jakarta BPBD sent 1,000 packages of ready-to-eat food, blankets, and family and child equipment. In addition, assistance from a number of DKI Jakarta BUMDs was also mobilized as a form of solidarity and support for initial recovery.

BUMDs participating include PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, PAM Jaya, PT Jakarta Tourisindo, Dharma Jaya, PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP), Jamkrida, PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), MRT Jakarta, PAL Jaya, Transjakarta, Pasar Jaya, and Sarana Jaya. The assistance sent includes basic necessities, basic needs, and clean water reservoirs.
