Enzo Maresca Doesn't Want To Talk About The Premier League Title Fight With Arsenal
JAKARTA - Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca insists it is too early to say whether his team is capable of challenging Premier League leaders Arsenal to win the league title this season.
The top two teams will meet at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, November 30, 2025, WIB night, with the Blues wanting to reduce the difference in points to just three with the Gunners.
Both teams entered this match with a brilliant victory in the Champions League. Arsenal beat Bayern Munich 3-1 to top the Champions League standings, while Chelsea beat Barcelona 3-0 to risk a chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Around this time last season, Maresca first faced a question about her team's ability to compete for the title.

He consistently underestimated his team's prospect of referring to last season where his team dropped out of second place at Christmas with declining performance and had to fight hard to qualify for the Champions League.
"It's too early to determine whether we won or not (against Arsenal). This November, there are still five or six months away."
"It is important to know our position (in the standings) in February and March (2026). We'll see if we can get something important," Maresca said of his team's chances of winning the Premier League title this season.
During his 18-month term of Maresca, Chelsea displayed the end of their best form at beating Barcelona on the night that made the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge increase, which has not been seen for several years in western London.
They have also won six of the last seven league games to become closest challengers to the Gunners at the top of the table.
After the first two months of various seasons, Maresca enjoyed the brilliant performance his team had found.
"It's another big game. We finished the game against Barcelona with a good feeling. I don't know if this is bigger than the last."
"To me, everything is important. It feels good, but it's three points. Then, we will face Leeds (after against Arsenal), who also have to get three points."
"Our mindset and mood are very good. We performed well in the Premier League and Champions League. It's nice to see us getting better and developing."
"We need an environment like that, supporters like we used to. It's always fun to share such a moment at the end of the game with everyone," said the Italian coach.
Chelsea vs Arsenal's match promises an interesting battle between the two division's best midfielders, Moises Caicedo and Declan Rice.
Both players were impressive during their team's win in Europe, but Maresca didn't want this match to just be a duel between the two.
"The Premier League is full of good players, very good midfielders. Caicedo, Declan, (Bruno) Guimaraes, Rodri. Many midfielders are very good."
"That's an important part of the game, but not the only one. It's 11 against 11. It's just one part of the whole thing," he said.
