Arsenal Lost Leandro Trossard In London Derby Against Chelsea
JAKARTA - An injured Arsenal player has increased. Leadro Trossard's forward suffered a calf injury which resulted in himself being sidelined in the London Derby against Chelsea in the English Premier League match.
The impressive victory that had to be paid was quite expensive when Arsenal beat German Bundesliga giant Bayern Munich with a score of 3-1 in the Champions League match at the Emirates, Thursday, November 27, 2025 in the morning WIB.
How could I not, Trossard, who showed a satisfactory performance during the last few games, suffered an injury that made him pulled out just before the end of the first half.
He seemed to be holding a calf that felt sore when he left the field. Trossard's position was later replaced by Noni Madueke who contributed goals in that match.
Trossard's injury made him likely to miss Arsenal visiting Chelsea's headquarters at Stamford Bridge, Sunday, November 22, 2025 evening WIB.
Manager Mikel Arteta will not force Trossard to appear in the derby even though the Belgian national team player shows consistency in appearances. Including when the Gunners destroyed Tottenham Hotspur 4-1 in The North London Derby last weekend.
"We don't know how long he has recovered from injury. He just said there is a part that hurts. We don't want to take risks," said Arteta.
Trossard is clearly an important player in Arteta. Moreover, Arsenal lost a number of front players. Finally, Viktor Gyokores has not recovered from a muscle injury.
Previously, Arsenal had lost Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus and defender Gabriel Magalhaes. Gabriel Jesus himself has recovered from ACL injuries and returned to training. But Arteta will not force his players to appear in the derby.
Without Trossard or Gyokeres, Havertz and Gabriel Jesus, the front lines have no shortage of players. In the match against Bayern, midfielder Mikel Merino returned to play false nine. He received support from Bukayo Saka and Madueke.
In addition, Arteta may have prepared Martinelli with Eberechi Eze operating on the right wing. Meanwhile, Saka was moved to the left.
Luckily captain Martin Odegaard was able to return to play. Odegaard had played for the last 10 minutes against Bayern. Now, he has the opportunity to start with the captain's armband back wrapped around his arm.
The match against Chelsea is proof of Arsenal. If you win, this North London club has the potential to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004 even though the competition is still far away. At that time, Arsenal was still handled by legendary manager Arsene Wenger.

Victory at the derby made Arsenal further away from their competitors. If able to focus throughout the competition, Arteta can bring Arsenal to the league title.
Currently, Arsenal, who are at the top of the standings, have a point of 29. A six-point lead with Chelsea who are in second place. If Chelsea manages to cut the distance of points, then the competition in the Premier League will be tight again.
