Received Rehabilitation In The ASDP Case, Ira Puspadewi: Thank You Pak Prabowo Use Special Rights

JAKARTA - Former President Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero), Ira Puspadewi thanked President Prabowo Subianto after being released from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Detention Center (KPK), South Jakarta, Friday, November 28. He is grateful to be able to breathe free air after serving a 10-month detention period.

Ira together with former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono and former Director of Commercial and Services of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry received rehabilitation from President Prabowo Subianto. This decision was taken after the three were found guilty in the corruption case of business cooperation (KSU) and the acquisition of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).

"We express our highest gratitude and appreciation to Mr. President Prabowo Subianto who is willing to exercise his privilege by rehabilitating in our case," Ira told reporters after leaving the KPK detention center.

I also expressed my gratitude to a number of parties. Including to the Indonesian House of Representatives, especially the Deputy Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad.

"We express our highest gratitude to the leadership of the DPR, in this case represented by Sufmi Dasco Ahmad," he said.

"Fourthly, we also conveyed to the Supreme Court, the Coordinating Minister for Human Rights Immigration and Corrections to the Minister of the State Secretariat, then the Minister of Law of the Republic of Indonesia, the Secretary of the Cabinet and no less important, we would like to thank the legal advisory team," continued Ira.

On that occasion, Ira also thanked the KPK. "Those who carried out their duties well for almost 10 months were detained," he said.

Ira then appreciated the support from the community. "Our hope is that in the future, the legal order in our beloved country can provide better protection to the professionals of the nation's children who really do great work for Indonesia that we have," he said.

Meanwhile, Ira Puspadewi et al officially left the KPK detention center at around 17.15 WIB or after the anti-corruption commission finished the administrative process.

He was greeted by his husband and family as well as several figures such as the former Secretary of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in the Sudirman Said era, Said Didu.

As soon as he came out of the door of the KPK detention center, Ira, who wore a pink hijab in a matching shirt, immediately approached his family and hugged him. He then walked towards reporters who were waiting outside the KPK detention center and waved.

As previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto signed the granting of rehabilitation for three parties involved in the legal case of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry. They are Ira Puspadewi as former Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry; former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono, and former Commercial and Service Director of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry.

The decision was conveyed by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad in a press statement with Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya at the Presidential office, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 25.

"From the results of communication with the government, thank God there are today, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Prabowo Subianto has signed a letter of rehabilitation for the three names," he said.

Ira Puspadewi et al are known to have been found guilty in the corruption case of the acquisition and business cooperation (KSU) of PT Jembatan Nusantara by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry. He was later sentenced to 4.5 years and a fine of IDR 500 million by the Jakarta Corruption Court.

Meanwhile, the former Director of Planning and Development of PT ASDP, Harry Muhammad Adhi Caksono, and former Director of Commercial and Services of PT ASDP, Muhammad Yusuf Hadi was sentenced to 4 years and a fine of Rp250 million. They were found guilty and committed corruption together as the second alternative indictment Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999.
