Floods In South Aceh Isolir Trumon Region, Regency Government Builds Emergency Bridge
JAKARTA - The South Aceh Regency Government (Pemkab) through the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has built an emergency bridge to open access for isolated flood victims in Buloh Seuma Village, Trumon District.
Head of BPBD South Aceh Regency Zainal stated that the Buloh Seuma area was isolated because there was a broken bridge due to flooding.
"Currently, an emergency bridge is being built to open access to the Buloh Seuma area. The BPBD team has also gone to the location to deal with flood victims in Kelukiman Buloh Seuma," said Zainal, who was contacted from Banda Aceh, Friday, as reported by Antara.
The height of flooding in the area is currently increasing. Floods due to heavy rains, so that a number of rivers in the area overflow. The water level ranges from 30 to 130 centimeters.
"The current flood condition has increased. The team has also gone to the flood site to deal with flood-affected communities and to distribute emergency assistance," he said.

Previously, thousands of residents of Buloh Seuma Settlement, Trumon District, South Aceh Regency, were reportedly isolated due to flooding, following heavy rain in the area.
Information gathered several connecting bridges to the Kelukiman Buloh Seuma broke and the road collapsed about 30 meters long due to flooding.
This condition caused land transportation to and from coastal areas in South Aceh Regency to be completely paralyzed. Meanwhile, some residential areas were flooded.
Lismadi, a resident of Buloh Seuma, asked the local government (Pemda) to deploy a team to help people who are now isolated due to flooding and distribute emergency assistance.
In addition to flooding, he said, electricity throughout the Buloh Seuma area went out three days and three nights. Residents are now completely isolated, not only geographically, but also in the government's attention.
"It has been three days since the people of Beuloh Seuma were isolated after three bridges connecting the break and the road collapsed due to a large flood. This condition has prevented people from doing activities," said Lismadi.
