Aceh Floods, Provincial Cross Roads In Nagan Raya Terdepat
JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that the 250 meter length of the provincial road section on the west side of Aceh in the Panton Pange Village area, Tripa Makmur District, Nagan Raya Aceh Regency, was completely cut off due to flooding.
"Currently, access to transportation is still completely cut off," said the Coordinator of the Nagan Raya BPBD Pusdalops, Agussalim, to ANTARA, Friday afternoon.
He said that the road was cut off in the area after being hit by floods from Wednesday to Thursday this week, causing the asphalt on the road to be removed and badly damaged.
In addition, a small bridge unit connecting the sub-district was also damaged, resulting in total transportation access breaking.
Agussalim said the impact of breaking the road access resulted in hundreds of families in the area being isolated and confined.
As of Friday afternoon, Nagan Raya BPBD officers had not been able to access the location because the road facilities were badly damaged.
"In addition, the roads in the area are still filled with mud and puddles, causing the evacuation and handling process to be hampered," said Agussalim.
