Discovery Learning Learning Learning Model: Understanding, Excessives, And Implementation

YOGYAKARTA Learning model disclosure learning is one of the methods that emphasizes students' independence in learning. This learning model is more effective especially if it is supported by technology that is able to provide sources of knowledge. This article will provide an explanation of how the learning disclosure learning model is actually done.

In the BAHTERA Language and Literature Education Journal (Nur Amalia:2022) it is explained that the study learning model is a method in which students need to find out their own material, while teachers or educators will not provide the material in its entirety. Teachers only provide partial information about the concept to be studied.

In this learning model, students are required to be able to identify what they want to know, then seek their own needs of information and material, and organize what is known.

Please note that in Indonesia, the learning disclosure learning model has been recommended in the 2013 Curriculum which refers to Permendikbud No. 103 of 2014.

The provision of these recommendations is based on the belief that this model is able to increase students' curiosity so that in the end it fosters a sense of criticality towards something. Apart from these cases, here is the purpose of learning in general.

One of the main goals of this learning model is so that students can be actively involved in the learning process. This participation helps them improve their understanding as well as involvement in learning.

Basically, the discovery-based learning is based on discovery so that students are able to find patterns related to real knowledge and situations. In addition, students can develop extrapolation capabilities to estimate information more broadly than existing data.

Discovery learning learning models have advantages that have a good impact on students. The following are the advantages that can be obtained from this learning method.

The application of disclosure learning can be done by taking several steps that must be taken by teachers or educators, namely as follows.

The first step is to identify what problems will be studied. Educators put forward problems or challenges that students need to solve so they can start thinking critically.

At this stage the teacher will provide relevant data or information. Meanwhile, students were then asked to compile, process, and analyze the data.

After the students have successfully analyzed, they will be asked to make allegations or hypotheses about what happened or what solutions to the problems given by the teacher.

Not only compiling, students also need to check whether the allegations they made were correct and appropriate. This process is carried out with the help of the teacher.

If students are convinced of the allegations made, they need to present them correctly. If there is any doubt, students can discuss with teachers and classmates as a re-verification process.
