Indonesia Wins 3 Gold Medals In The ASEAN School Games 2025 Individual Number

JAKARTA The Indonesian badminton team closed their journey at the 2025 ASEAN School Games event, individual number by bringing home three gold medals, three silver medals, and two bronze medals.

Indonesia has succeeded in dominating the individual numbers in the men's singles sector, men's doubles, and women's doubles. In these three sectors, all Indonesian finals were successfully created or clashes between Indonesian representatives.

In the men's singles, Farhan Rainanda Joe won a gold medal after winning in the two straight games 21-18 and 21-17 against Denis Azzarya.

Furthermore, in the women's doubles, Selsi Josika/Yasintha Ristyna Putri won after defeating Atresia Naufa Candani/Aurelia Syakira Putri with a score of 21-16 and 21-18.

A fierce duel also occurred in the men's doubles final which brought together M. Rizki Mubarrok/Raihan Daffa Edsel Pramono against the first seed Anju Siahaan/Faizal Pangestu.

The match ended in a rubber game victory for Barrok/Edsel. They successfully climbed onto the highest podium after being forced to rise from the loss of the first game to win with a final score of 17-21, 21-19, and 22-20.

"In the final is the toughest opponent. We meet our own friend Anju/Faisal, it's not easy to win. The points continue to be tight. After this, our target is to enter the National Training Center (PBSI)," said Edsel.

Meanwhile, two bronze medals were donated to the women's singles duo, Mayla Cahya Afilian Pratiwi and Jolin Angelia. This result completes the two gold medals that have been previously won in the team number.
