Wanti-wanti Penerima Bansos Baru Di Bandung, Mensos: Jangan Untuk Judol
JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs (Mensos) Saifullah Yusuf warned families of new beneficiaries (KPM) in Bandung City, West Java not to use social assistance (bansos) and Temporary Cash Direct Assistance (BLTS) for online gambling transactions (judol).
"I remind you once, don't play online gambling," he said while reviewing the distribution of BLTS at the Jalan Asia Afrika Post Office, Bandung City, West Java, Friday, confiscated by Antara.
The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) confirmed that in Bandung City, the distribution of BLTS reached 31 sub-districts with a total of 49,552 beneficiary families, with the total value of the assistance distributed reaching Rp44,596,800,000.
In this activity, there are 70 KPMs that have received BLTS for the first time. They are residents from Regol District, Cigelereng Village who are in the distribution target area from the Bandung City Post Office.
Saifullah on that occasion revealed that the government has all instruments that can detect suspicious activity from the accounts of the beneficiaries, if anomalies are found, especially online gambling transactions, the account will be removed from the list of beneficiaries.
Together with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK), the Ministry of Social Affairs found West Java to be the province with the highest number of social assistance recipients identified as playing online gambling.
During the first semester of 2025, 49,431 online gambling players were recorded with transactions worth Rp199 billion. Meanwhile, at the district/city level, Bogor Regency recorded the highest number with 5,497 people with a transaction value of Rp22 billion.
"So please use it as well as possible that is useful, for example financing children's schools, daily needs, or better for thickening business capital," said Saifullah.
For beneficiary families who have business interests or are in micro-business activities, he ensures that they will get full support from the government under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto so that their efforts are productive and become an independent family.
"For those who want to do business or who are in the process of starting, let's discuss further. Together with the social service, we are ready to help according to the president's direction through empowerment programs," he said.
