PBNU Deputy Amin Said Husni Calls Islah To Solve Conflict
JAKARTA - PBNU Deputy General Chair Amin Said Husni assessed that organizational energy should be focused on completing programs and preparing for the next congress, not maintaining conflicts that only cause harm to Nahdlatul Ulama.
"For that, the only way is islah as suggested by the ulama. It's useless to maintain differences and conflicts. In fact, it only brings harm," said Amin Said in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.
Amin emphasized that all PBNU ranks should remain focused on completing organizational tasks and not be dragged into the vortex of accusations or the growing polemic.
Amin made this statement based on direct directions from the General Chairperson of PBNU KH Yahya Cholil Staquf so that the organization's energy does not run out to respond to issues that actually confuse the situation.
Amin explained, neither the General Chair nor Rais Aam are holders of the mandate of the congress. Therefore, there is no forum outside the extraordinary congress (MLB) which has the authority to revoke their second mandate.
"Any meeting or deliberation other than the congress cannot stop Rais Aam or the General Chair," he said as reported by Antara.

He stated that Rais Aam also could not hold the MLB unilaterally. MLB can only be held with the General Chair of PBNU, even then with very strict terms and conditions.
"So it's not easy. There are mechanisms that must be followed, and everything is clearly regulated in the AD/ART," said Amin.
The current PBNU management solemn period will end in January 2027. With about one year remaining, Amin assessed that organizational energy should be focused on completing the program.
He even reminded that in the tradition of the kiai, the conflicts that are maintained will only bring bad luck to anyone who ignites it.
Amin hopes that all parties will refrain and calm the atmosphere again in order to maintain the dignity of the organization and the sustainability of NU's strategic program ahead of the end of the management.
