The U-23 Indonesian National Team Gets Green Light, 4 Abroad Players Can Appear At The 2025 SEA Games
JAKARTA - The U-23 Indonesian national team received good news ahead of appearing at the 2025 SEA Games. Four abroad players received the green light from their club to defend the Young Garuda Squad in Thailand.
The four players are Ivar Jenner, Mauro Zijlstra, Marselino Ferdinand, and Dion Markx.
This news was conveyed by the Chairman of the National Team Agency (BTN), Sumardji. He said there were 23 players in the final list who were brought to Thailand, in which there were also diaspora players.
"For the players we registered 23 players, including those from the diaspora were included in the list. Later, God willing, from here (departing from Jakarta) maybe 19 (players), yes," said Sumardji at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
Regarding the announcement of 23 players who will go to Thailand, Sumardji said that he was still waiting for Indra Sjafri's final decision as head coach.

"Furthermore, BTN will later convey to the PSSI media team to convey the names of 23 players who will strengthen the U-23 Indonesian national team at the SEA Games," he said.
Regarding the joining of the abroad players, Sumardji emphasized that the four names were certain and there were no changes.
"Yes, the four people (abroad players), God willing, the four people have not changed. It is true that there are Ivar, Marselino, Mauro, and Dion," he said.
Even so, he admitted that there was still one player whose release process had not yet been fully completed from the club. Even so, Sumardji also did not want to divulge it.
"Yes, we are still working on one, yes, we are still trying to get together. Yes, I hope that the club can immediately release and join us," said Sumardji.
The 2025 SEA Games will be held on 3-18 December 2025. The U-23 Indonesian national team, which are members of Group C along with Myanmar, the Philippines, and Singapore, is scheduled to leave early for Thailand on Friday, November 28, 2025.
