Putri KW Ready To Prove Yourself At The World Tour Finals 2025

JAKARTA The women's singles badminton player Putri Kusuma Wardani is ready to prove herself in the 2025 BWF World Tour Finals (WTF) which will take place next month in Hangzhou, China.

The season-ending tournament, which only involves top players, is scheduled to take place at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, China, on 17-21 December 2025. Putri will appear as a debutant there.

"So, for the WTF later it will also be my place to prove that I am not easily giving up and can still compete with them and can win too," said Putri at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center.

So far, the draw for the tournament group stage has not been carried out. The names who qualified for the event were mostly players who had never been defeated by Putri.

An Se-young, Wang Zhi Yi, Han Yue, and Akane Yamaguchi, are recorded as having an impressive record against Putri. So far the most balanced record owned by Putri is against Tomoka Miyazaki.

Putri will make her WTF debut appearance after successfully becoming runner-up at the 2025 Australian Open last week. He lost against An Se-young at the top of the BWF Super 500 level tournament.

"Yesterday, I was grateful to be given a podium even though I was still runner-up because his opponent in the final was also quite difficult, world number one, but yesterday I was quite happy to make it difficult for An Se-yong," said Putri.

Indonesia has sent a total of five representatives to the BWF World Tour Finals this year. The only sector that does not have a representative in the tournament is the women's doubles number.

The other four representatives who accompanied Putri to the tournament were Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohamad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani, Jonatan Christie, and Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu.
