Next Year, The Multipurpose Chery X SUV Will Be Built Locally In Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) seems to have never run out of ammunition to hit the national automotive market, the proof that during this brand-owned GJAW exhibition from China presented the launch of several models.

Including Chery X or known as the T1TP Chery in its home country China. The car will certainly launch next year, and interestingly will also be produced locally. This assurance was disclosed by the Head of Brand & Marketing Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan.

"When it comes to production, of course (Chery X) will be produced in Indonesia," he said, when met at ICE BSD.

Unfortunately, he did not describe the details, it's just that Chery currently has a factory collaborating with Handal for the production of his car line, and plans to build an independent factory.

The Chinese car brand has actually poured fantastic investment funds of up to IDR 5.2 trillion to strengthen their foothold in Indonesia. This large investment is believed to be the foundation for Chery's grand plan, such as building an independent factory in the country.

Back to Chery X, the man who is familiarly called Rifkie said the reason why Indonesia was chosen to be the first country outside China to present the latest model.

"The reason is in Indonesia is because the most powerful market is MPV, we bring a higher tapj, namely SUV. In terms of benefit, all MPV cars can accommodate but are taken to a higher level," he added.

Chery X was born of a tiger inspiration that symbolizes true strength and resilience through the embedding of a firm Tiger's Rour Front Face, combined with Tiger's Stance with three rope marks that give a strong impression.

Carrying the idea as an "Ultimate Space Family Multi-SUV", Chery X comes from the user co-creation' initiative, designed to break conventional design limitations by offering space flexibility and modular functions that can adapt according to the needs of their users.
