BMW Launches A Very Limited Z4 Final Edition

JAKARTA After two decades of stunning fans with a mix of classic proportions and sporty dynamics, BMW announced an emotional curtain cover for its iconic two-seater roadster. BMW launched the Z4 Final Edition, a very limited special edition of the Z4 M40i model to mark the end of the legend's production.

This farewell edition is not just an ordinary goodbye. The Z4 Final Edition is designed to be a true collector, produced in a very small amount between February and April 2026, and comes in a very complete configuration, making potential owners only need to choose between manual transmission of 6-accelerations or automatic Steptronic 8-accelerations.

Reporting from the BMW USA page, RAbu, November 26, the Z4 Final Edition appears to stand out with exclusive BMW Individual Frozen Black metallic paints, a badminton color that features a distinctive Z4 design line. An elegant contrast comes from the standard Shadowline Package, which adds a shiny black accent to the kidney grip, air plug, mirror cover, and exhaust finisher.

Other sweeteners include a matching Soft Top Moonlight Black, a red brake caliber on the standard M Sport brakes, and the use of a (different size) M Dual-Spoke Bicolor 800M: 19 inches up front and 20 inches behind.

Exclusive impressions continue in the cabin with M Sport seats wrapped in Vernasca and Alcantara skins, decorated with striking red contrasting stitches, which also spread to dashboards, center consoles, and door panels. Floor carpets also have matching red sheets, and seat belts come with M Tri-color color strips.

As a reminder of its unique status, door sill plates are decorated with carvings of the "Z4 FINAL EDITION" commemoration.

Tuning Chassis Special For Manual Drivers

For motorists who choose a manual 6-speed transmission, they will get a special chassis improvement developed for the Edition Handschalter Package.

This increase includes a unique additional spring in the front and rear doubles, specially reinforced front-bar anti-roll clamps, and a rear-electronic shock damping remap and variable sport steering.

The Z4 Final Edition starts at 77,500 US dollars equivalent to Rp1.29 billion (not yet cost of delivery), bringing along a Driving Assistance Package, Premium Package, and a surround Harman Kardon sound system.

With a history spanning from its predecessor Z3, Z4 has been part of a long tradition of BMW-open roof roadster sports cars, parallel to icons like BMW 328 Roadster and BMW 507. This last edition is a viable tribute to the lineage.
