The Indonesian Basketball National Team Is Ready To Face A Busy Schedule At The 2025 SEA Games
JAKARTA The Indonesian Basketball National Team (Timnas) has no problem with the tight schedule of the group stage in the 2025 SEA Games which will take place at the beginning of tomorrow month in Thailand.
According to the schedule that has been released, the Indonesian men's 5 x 5 basketball squad will undergo a three-day fight in a row in the group stage against Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand.
"After seeing and studying the 2025 SEA Games match schedule that has been released, we as team management feel that the team is in a ready condition to face the format and intensity of the set tournament," said the Manager of the Indonesian Basketball National Team, Rivaldo Tandra Pangesthio.

The Indonesian Basketball national team will start the struggle at the Thailand SEA Games against Myanmar on December 13, 2025 at Nimibutr Stadium, Thailand. The match will tip-off at 14.00 WIB.
Furthermore, the Red and White Forces will face Thailand's host on December 14, 2025. The match will take place in the same place as the tip-off starting at 19.00 WIB.
Singapore will be the closing opponent of the Indonesian Basketball National Team in the group phase. The match will take place on December 15, 2025 at 14.00 WIB, also in the same place.
Rivaldo ensured that this busy schedule would not dampen the determination of the Indonesian Basketball National Team to score the best results.
"The solid schedule is nothing new for us because from the start we had designed a preparation program to deal with scenarios like this," he said.
The Indonesian Basketball National Team squad has simulated matches with a busy schedule during training. In addition to undergoing training in Jakarta, they also underwent trials in Australia recently.
At the 2025 SEA Games, Indonesia will pursue third place in the final standings for medals to repeat previous achievements in Cambodia in the 2023 edition.
Indonesia will send 996 athletes and hunt 85 gold medals. Basketball sets a target to contribute greatly to the Indonesian contingent at the biennial sporting event.
