Mungil Electric Car Changan Lumin Becomes A Spotlight At GJAW 2025, Take A Peek At The Specifications

JAKARTA - The emergence of Changan Lumin EV is one of the main attractions at the Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2025. The electric city car, configured with three doors, looks different through adorable designs.

"Changan Lumin is presented with a unique and character-filled design. A roomy and modern interior. Apart from being environmentally friendly, Changan Lumin is very easy to drive in urban areas, plus a distance of up to 301 km and fast charging capabilities," said Changan Indonesia CEO Setiawan Surya at ICE BSD, Tuesday, November 25.

In dimensions, Lumin EV is recorded to have a length of 3,270 mm, a width of 1,700 mm, and a height of 1,590 mm, with a wheelbase distance of 1,980 mm and a ground clearance of 150 mm. The lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery package with a capacity of 28,08 kWh is claimed to be able to carry this car up to 301 km based on NEDC testing standards.

The power source comes from a 48 Hp electric motor with a torque of 83 Nm which is channeled through front wheels (FWD). The peak speed is at 101 km/hour, enough to support commuter activity and daily operational needs in the city.

For control, Lumin EV is equipped with a light Electric Power Steering (EPS) with a minimum turn radius of 4.6 meters, facilitating maneuvers in narrow parking and crowded roads. The suspension in front of MacPherson Strut and the back of Trailing Arm is designed to maintain stability in various road conditions.

The braking system combines the disc brakes in front and the thromol behind, complete with active safety features such as ABS, EBD, HHC, and ESP to increase the sense of security while driving.

From the visual side, Lumin EV appears to steal the attention through an LED light in the form of a moon eye' that gives an expressive impression, as if it has its own character. The shape of the body is round and compact, reinforced by a distinctive rim design that makes the appearance easy to recognize on the road.

External color options are available in five options, namely Wheat Yellow, Moss Green, Sakura Powder, Foggy White, and Magpie Gray. Interestingly, interior can be personalized through two combinations of colors, gray-black and light gray-orange, providing a more personal touch to the owner.

At the GJAW 2025 event, Changan Lumin EV was offered at a price of IDR 178 million from Jakarta, making it one of the most attractive compact electric car options in its class. And the price is quite competitive.
