Yamaha Educates Young People The Importance Of Safety Riding Through The Y2C Program
JAKARTA - Yamaha's commitment to increasing awareness, knowledge, and safe driving skills continues to be strengthened through the Safety Riding educational program initiated by the Yamaha Riding Academy (YRA). This time targeting the younger generation who have used many motorbikes.
This Japanese manufacturer places educational institutions at the forefront, especially High School (SMA) in various cities. This has been part of the Yamaha Youth Community (Y2C) series since last October.
The series of activities that have now entered the Regional Stage stage are not just a talent search for Indonesian high school students. Moreover, Y2C carries out a strategic mission to instill a safety mindset for the younger generation so that from an early age they have awareness of responsibility, ethics, and safety during traffic on the highway.
"In addition to consistently providing education to various agencies or companies, we also continue to echo the importance of creating a culture and mindset of Safety Riding for the entire community, especially young people," said Yamaha Riding Academy Trainer PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Mfg, Muhammad Arief.
"So from an early age we were able to find out and apply the principles of Safety Riding while driving, starting from small things to technical matters that were quite important," he continued, as quoted from the official statement of Yamaha, Monday, November 24.

The enthusiasm of high school students can be seen clearly throughout the Safety Riding Education session in every city of Y2C implementation. The participants took the material seriously, from basic understanding to important driving techniques. Not only stopped at the theory, YRA instructors also provided live simulations which were then practiced by students using Gen-Z-style squeezers, Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid.
A number of crucial materials were presented in this program, including the importance of complying with traffic regulations and signs, the use of safety equipment, to maintaining focus and a safe distance while driving.
Yamaha also emphasizes technical aspects that are often taken lightly by novice riders, such as riding and riding techniques, using middle standards, and the habit of looking back before starting to drive to make sure the conditions around are safe.
The Yamaha Fazzio Hybrid test facility is one of the main attractions in the Y2C event. Through this session, students not only experienced the performance of the 125cc Blue Core Hybrid technology, but also practiced the ideal driving position.
Practices are also enriched with cone trajectories to train more precise braking, balance, and maneuvering techniques. One of the participants from SMA Negeri 22 Bandung Raffi, admitted to getting a lot of new experience from this activity.
"Following Safety Riding Education at the Y2C event, I just realized that small things such as sitting positions, effective braking moments, or seeing the conditions around them are very important when driving. And during practice sessions too, I tried the braking technique taught by instructors, and the difference is very good," said Raffi.
