Chery Brings Concept X In GJAW, Multifunction SUV Ready To Beat Indonesia's Automotive Market

JAKARTA - PT Chrey Sales Indonesia (CSI) continues to surprise the Indonesian automotive market by introducing the concept of Chery X or known as T1TP in its home country of China.

Chery X is designed to meet the needs of users who want multipurpose vehicles without having to own two different cars. Prioritize the user co-creation initiative with the concept of 7-Seat Transformable Multi-SUV.

Head of Brand Department of PT Chery Sales Indonesia, Rifkie Setiawan, said the model introduced was still a concept but wanted to bring many benefits given to the SUV class.

"This is still a concept, so later when we have a test in Indonesia when there is a new plan we launch it by naming, but we want us even though attending the SUV we still benefit from being able to accommodate MPV," he said, during the launch at ICE BSD, Monday, October 24.

When asked about the official launch, the man who is familiarly called Rifkie only expressed hope that he would attend next year, unfortunately, he did not elaborate in more detail whether to take the momentum of the exhibition or not.

"Hopefully next year we will launch it soon, if IIMS is done, we'll see what happens later, but what is certain is under the Chery flag but the one who brings the Chery brand," he added.

As previously reported by VOI, this concept model is also present from market needs research conducted by the Chery product team for more than a year in various countries such as Indonesia, Mexico, and Thailand. As a result of this research, Chery found the nine most frequent family use scenarios, ranging from daily trips, outdoor activities, to long trips and family activities on weekends.

These inputs and expectations then became the foundation for Chery in developing the 7-Seat Transformable Multi SUV.

Based on this insight, every element of the T1TP Concept Chery is designed to answer real needs in various family use situations, so that this vehicle is born from direct collaboration with users and not just from manufacturer assumptions.

Through stunning light performances and visual effects, Chery also features three of the six vehicle configurations. In the "Large 7-Seat SUV" mode, the Chery T1TP Concept presents true comfort like a house running thanks to its spacious dimension.

With a body length of 4.9 meters and an interior height of 1,284 mm, it allows children to stand upright in it while making it easier for elderly passengers to enter and exit easily without having to bend.

When needed for work or hobby activities, the Chery T1TP Concept can turn into a double cabin thanks to an innovative quick release structure. This mode provides a cargo space of 600 liters complete with binding points and barriers that can be arranged to carry various equipment, ranging from surf boards to construction equipment.
