Important 'Sat Fill', Kaesang Is Considered Normalizing The Practice Of Money Politics

JAKARTA Political observer Ubedilah Badrun, said there are three things that can be interpreted related to the statement of the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep, who prioritizes chasing' rather than electability.

First, PSI's elite way of thinking still places financial capital as the main determinant of victory, because they feel they have sufficient financial capital to win in the election. Second, Kaesang seems to normalize the practice of money politics.

Munculkan ruang tafsir seperti menormalis politik transaksional atau bahkan politik uang dianggap sesuatu yang biasa. Muncul persumpak mau mengatakan, tenang saja kita punya uang, ubedilah, Minggu 23 November.

Third, Kaesang's statement indicates PSI is far from the ideals of young parties.

This is because PSI uses a narrative or an old way to win the election, namely by using money politics which in turn destroys democracy.

"Maybe it's sadder because it's not accompanied by a narrative of new ideas, but a narrative that shows a poor idea. An elite party's mindset like this certainly has great potential to be left behind by voters," Ubedilah said.

Previously, in the PSI Rakorwol, Central Sulawesi in Palu, last Wednesday, November 19, Kaesang said, high electability would be in vain in election contestation without chasing'.

It's useless to have high electability, but you don't have the contents of the bag. I see, don't have the time to fill the bag? If I, right, don't bring bags, all of them carry bendums (public objects). If there's anything, especially Central Sulawesi, the problem is the contents of our bags, to our father (Ahmad Ali), yes," he said.
