Kalashnikov Presents SMG PPK-20 In Dubai International: Have Good Combat Performance

JAKARTA - Russia's defense industry company, Kalashnikov Concern presents a 9mm PPK-20 submachine gun (SMG) which is claimed to be one of the best in the world in its class at an international exhibition in Dubai.

Kalashnikov is one of the companies participating in the Dubai Airshow 2025 event which will be held on November 17-21 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

"The Kalashnikov company showcased the 9mm PPK-20 light machine gun, which military experts say is one of the best in its class in the world, at the Dubai Airshow 2025 19 international exhibition," according to a press service quoted from TASS November 22.

According to the company, the use of PPK-20 in combat, including in the special military operations zone, shows the effectiveness of the weapon and confirms its potential increase in demand in Russian and global markets.

"Foreign military are particularly interested in buying PPK-20 because it meets all modern requirements for weapons of this class," the press service noted.

The statement also states that Kalashnikov engineers have improved the quality of PPK-20 weapons by improving some of its tactical, technical and ergonomic characteristics, as well as expanding the range of usable cartridges.

Currently, the 9mm Kalashnikov light machine gun combines the stiffness and easy-to-use design of the contemporary AK-12 rifle into a concise shape, quoted from the Kalashnikov site.

It said this rifle has a popor that can be adjusted in length and can be folded to the right. This rifle is also equipped with an ambidextrous safety switch.

"Five years ago, our designers introduced PPK-20 as a promising new light machine gun. This year, the upgraded version is mass-produced by our weapons division. I firmly believe PPK-20 is and will be one of the best lightweight machine guns in the world over the next two decades. We are dedicated to delivering this high-performance weapon to our customers, especially given its proven efficiency in SMO," said Kalashnikov CEO Concern JSC and Russian Technical Unity Bureau member AlanLushnikov.

It is known that Russia itself had previously announced that it would showcase more than 850 military products in Dubai Airshow 2025.
