Nissan Teana New Generation Debuts As First Luxury Sedan With HarmonySpace 5.0

JAKARTA Dongfeng Nissan, Nissan's joint venture in China, today, Friday, November 21, officially launched the latest Nissan Teana at the Guangzhou Motor Show. This flagship sedan features an elegant design and improved revolutionary cabin technology.

Most interestingly, the latest Teana is the world's first internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle equipped with standards with Huawei's newest smart cockpit system, HarmonySpace 5.0.

Reporting from the Nissan Global page, the latest Teana is sold at a price range of 139,900 to 167,900 yuan. (equivalent to IDR 329 million-IDR 394 million).

Complementing its status as a smart car, Teana now comes with a HarmonySpace 5.0 system in all variants. This system offers the equivalent driving experience using a smartphone thanks to Huawei's 15.6-inch smart screen the largest in its class. With high-accuracy AI voice assistants and Over-the-Air (OTA) update capabilities, Teana cabin turns into a very comfortable and intuitive "moving smart house".

In terms of exteriors, Teana exhibits a slim, elongated, and modern design. Striking design elements are seen in the LED "star ring" which stretches from the front grille to the main lights. For night driving safety, the LED twin-projector headlights are able to illuminate up to 230 meters away, the longest in its class. Behind the engine hood, Teana is powered by Nissan's flagship engine, 2.0 liters of VC-Turbo (Variable Compression Ratio) which produces a maximum output of 243 PS and a peak torque of 371 Nm, promising strong and stable performance.

Entering the cabin, passengers will be pampered with about 90 percent of surfaces wrapped in soft pads and ambient lighting with 256 color choices. Seat comfort is really maximized with spinal support features, ventilation, memory function, and even massage capabilities. The back seat is also equipped with fully customizable footwear, offering relaxation just like in the business class. Teana is also standardly equipped with a Level 2 driver assistance system, placing it at the top of the echelon in terms of active safety features.

HUAWEI's Imercive Audio Experience SOUND

For an in-depth entertainment experience, Nissan is working with Huawei to develop the HUAWEI SOUND sound system. The sedan is equipped with a standard of 15 speakers (17 speakers for the highest variant) which features strong bass, beautiful midrange, and clear trebles. In addition, all doors are equipped with doubly stratified sound glass, creating a quiet cabin environment like in theaters, even when traveling at high speed.
