Kia Telluride 2027 Officially Introduced, This Flagship SUV Now Has Turbo-hybrid Technology

JAKARTA Kia officially introduces the latest generation of their flagship SUV, Kia Telluride 2027, today at the prestigious 2025 Los Angeles Auto Show.

With a fresher design but still retaining its distinctive character, the latest Telluride comes as a flagship of the Kia SUV with a significant increase, especially at the heart of the runway which now offers a turbo-hybrid option for the first time.

Reporting from the HMG Newsroom page, Friday, November 21, this innovative powertrain option combines power and efficiency, resulting in an impressive 329 horsepower (HP) combined output. Not only powerful, this turbo-hybrid variant is estimated by Kia to have a combined fuel consumption of up to 35 miles per gallon (mpg) and a total driving range of up to 600 miles (965 km), setting new standards for a large and convenient three-line SUV. As a standard, Telluride is also present with a turbocharged engine that provides a torque of nearly 50 lb-ft larger than the previous model.

On the design side, Telluride 2027 inherits its distinctive design principle while adopting Kia's Opposites United philosophy. Longer overall dimensions, wider cargo space, and luxury cabins are the main attraction. The interior sector feels like a 'protection site' with features commonly found in premium SUVs, such as a 12.3-inch double-curve screen, a front-front relaxation seat with footwear, to an entertainment system that supports streaming from popular services such as Netflix and Disney+.

For true adventurers, the Telluride X-Pro variant is now being seriously improved. This model is increasingly integrated with the addition of wider all-terrain tires, a state-of-the-art Electronic Limited Slip Differential (E-LSD) system, and a new multi-medean AWD mode. Coupled with a raised ground clearance to 9.1 inches and the Ground View Monitor feature, the X-Pro is ready to carry off the asphalt road without compromising comfort.

Commitment to safety is also strengthened, with Telluride 2027 equipped with a series of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and options, including features such as Highway Driving Assist 2 and Blind-Spot View Monitor. Another important addition is the airbag in the front row, which is designed to reduce the impact of the collision between the driver and the forward passenger in certain collision conditions.

Kia Telluride 2027 is scheduled to arrive at the United States market in the first quarter (Q1) of 2026. The Next-Generation SUV, which will be assembled at the Kia plant in West Point, Georgia, will be offered in various trims ranging from LX to SX-Prestige, as well as the capability X-Line and X-Pro style variants. Details of the price will be announced near its sales date.
