North Gorontalo ASN Personnel Officially Become Suspects In Child Sexual Violence Cases
GORONTALO - Gorontalo has named a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) within the government of North Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province as a suspect in the case of Sexual Violence (TPKS) against children.
Head of Public Relations of the Gorontalo Police, Kombes Pol. Desmont Harjendro, said that the determination of the suspect against the ASN person with the initials AR had been issued by investigators from the Gorontalo Police Ditreskrimum.
"At the time of the first summons since the suspect was named last week, he reasoned that he was sick and had included a sick letter," said Kombes Desmont, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 21.
He explained that the Ditreskrimum investigators had again scheduled to send a second summons to AR on Friday (21/11), in order to be questioned.
Regarding whether or not the suspect AR will be detained, this will be determined by the results of the examination when AR has arrived to fulfill the summons.
To this day, investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Gorontalo Police have invited and examined six witnesses related to the case.
The six witnesses who were examined have been questioned regarding their role as well as those who know or saw the alleged TPKS incident involving these ASN personnel.
Regarding whether there will be more suspects in the case, the investigators will still conduct further investigations, developments, and examinations of witnesses and a number of sources.

However, said the Head of Public Relations, AR has been officially named a suspect, and for further legal proceedings, it will be submitted to the public openly through the media.
"Of course we are committed to handling this case according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), professional, and transparent. For the development of the next case handling, later we will convey it back to the public. We urge the public not to be easily provoked by false information which is not necessarily clear the origin of the truth," he concluded.
