20 Countries Have Qualified For The 2027 Asian Cup, The Remaining Four Tickets
JAKARTA - A total of 20 countries have confirmed that they will qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup which will be held in Saudi Arabia. Singapore is the newest team to qualify.
Singapore made sure to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup after a comeback with a 2-1 win over Hong Kong in their fifth match in Group C, Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
When meeting at Kai Tak Stadium, Hong Kong took the lead through Matt Orr's goal in the 15th minute. However, Singapore hit back in the second half with goals from Shawal Anuar (64') and Ilhan Fandi (68').
Despite leaving one match in the group round, Singapore was declared to have qualified for the 2027 Asian Cup after collecting 11 points. Singapore is the 20th team to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup finals.

The Indonesian national teams, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, Bahrain, Jordan, Palestine, Japan, South Korea, Qatar, Uzbekistan, and Australia are countries that advance to the 2027 Asian Cup after qualifying for the Third Round of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
A number of Southeast Asian teams can follow in the footsteps of Singapore and Indonesia to qualify for the 2027 Asian Cup.
To go to the 2027 Asian Cup, Thailand, which won 4-0 over Sri lanka, needed to beat Turkmenistan in the final match of the group phase. A similar process also needs to be played by the Philippines which must win over Tajikistan.
There are still Vietnam and Malaysia competing in Group F to fight for the group winners. Tiger Malaya leads the standings with 15 points, a three-point difference from The Golden Star.
The two teams will meet in the final match of Group F in March 2026. However, Malaysia is above the wind because it is far superior in the goal difference (+14) compared to Vietnam (+6).
Meanwhile, despite recording the perfect result by winning five matches in Group F, Malaysia has not yet passed the 2027 Asian Cup.
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) is still waiting for the results of the appeal by the Malaysian Football Federation (FAM) to the Sports Arbitration Court (CAS) regarding the alleged falsification of documents in naturalizing seven players.
Tiger Malaya is reported to have the potential to get a reduction from the AFC if the appeal to CAS is rejected. Before going to CAS, Malaysia's appeal to FIFA was rejected and was fined 350,000 Swiss francs or equivalent to Rp7.3 billion due to document falsification in naturalizing seven Malaysian national team players.
