Roger Federer Enters International Tennis Hall Of Fame
JAKARTA The former world number one in Switzerland, Roger Federer, has been officially elected to the 2026 International Hall of Fame.
Federer, who was ranked first in the world for 310 weeks throughout his brilliant career, is one of the best players ever.
"It is a great honor to enter the International Tennis Hall of Fame and stand together so many legends in tennis history," Federer said.
Federer was told he was elected to the Hall of Fame via a phone call from Stefan Edberg and Boris Becker, two players who were inspirational to the Swiss star.

Federer won 103 touring degree titles, which is the second most after Jimmyctions (199). Of that number, 20 of them were obtained at the Grand Slam and 28 at the ATP Masters 1000 event.
"Throughout my career, I have always valued the history of tennis and the role models given by the predecessors. It is very special to receive this news in Switzerland Tennis, surrounded by the next generation of players," Federer said.
Federer holds the record for the most consecutive weeks as world number one, which is 237 weeks from February 2004 to August 2008.
He has won the world number one award five times at the end of the year, received the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award 13 times, and was named ATP Fans' Favorite for 19 consecutive years from 2003 to 2021, which is a record.
Apart from Federer, Hall of Fame class 2026, sports broadcaster and journalist Mary Carillo (Contributor Category), who just officially entered the International Tennis Hall of Fame at the inauguration ceremony at Newport, Rhode Island, on 27-29 August 2026.
