LeBron James Breaks Record When Lakers Beat Jazz
JAKARTA LeBron James set a record for being the first player to appear in 23 consecutive NBA seasons when he set foot on the pitch to defend the Los Angeles Lakers against the Utah Jazz.
Clashes between the Lakers against Jazz took place at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, United States, on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. James and colleagues won over their guests with a score of 140-126.
This is the first game James and the Lakers have played in the NBA calendar for the 2025-2026 season. The 40-year-old basketball player had previously had to miss the 14 matches his team have played this season due to sciatica.

James has been absent from defending his team since the start of the training camp. He then just participated in the first training with the Lakers on Monday, November 17, 2025, and then appeared as many as 29 minutes in clashes with the Jazz.
Approximately 30 minutes before tipoff, the Lakers confirmed that James will be the starter for the 1,561th time in the 1,563 regular season games he has played.
James did not score points in his first 11 minutes on the pitch, but immediately got his rhythm after that.
After putting a pair of three-point shots in the second quarter, he posted eight assists in the second half including six assists in more than three minutes early in the fourth quarter. Overall, James contributed 11 points, 12 assists, and three rebounds.
James is the first player in history to participate in 23 NBA seasons. He surpassed Vince Carter's record of playing 22 seasons before retiring in 2020.
The five basketball players who have penetrated 21 seasons are Robert Parish, Kevin Willis, Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, and 40-year-old Chris Paul and are now playing for Los Angeles Clippers.
Meanwhile, the two three-pointer shots recorded in this match saw James surpassmas Miller to sixth in the NBA's all-time top three-pointer list.
Luka Doncic recorded 37 highest points in the match and four steals, plus 10 assists and five rebounds in the win over the Jazz.
Austin Reaves added 26 points to the Lakers, while Keyonte George and Lauri Markkanen each scored 34 and 31 points for Utah.
This victory puts the Lakers in fourth place in the Western Region followed by Jazz in 10th position. This is the ninth defeat felt by Jazz in the 2025-2026 season.
