"According to Bima Arya, through the process of genome sequencing to detect, whether the coronavirus that spreads in Bogor city is a new variant or not," he said.

The Minister of Health, he said, has sent a team to Bogor City and has taken samples from COVID-19 cases in Griya Melati Housing. "Hopefully the process can be fast, so that the results can be quickly known," he said.

"This evacuation step is carried out, to dampen and minimize the spread of coronavirus in the housing," he said.

Bogor City Health Office is also still conducting close contract searches and has confirmed 75 people in close contact who then underwent a PCR swab test. "Currently still waiting for the results," Bima said.

Bima said that the residents of the housing even though the results of the PCR swab test are negative, but if they have clinical symptoms should be examined genome sequencing. "There should be no new variant of coronavirus," he said.
