Pertamina Finds 724 Million Barrel Oil And Gas Reserves In Rokan, The Biggest Over The Last 10 Years
JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) reported that it had succeeded in finding new oil and gas reserves (oil and gas).
Deputy President Director of Pertamina Oki Muraza claimed that this finding was the largest in the last 10 years.
"We have succeeded in finding the largest discovery in the last 10 years. We have succeeded in finding non-conventional oil and gas or MNK in the Rokan WK whose potential findings reached 724 million barrels," he said in a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission VI DPR RI, Wednesday, November 19.
Oki added that the potential for oil and gas reserves only came from one structure.
This shows that the potential for non-conventional oil and gas throughout Indonesia is believed to be much greater than the findings.
"This is one of the largest conventional and unconventional discoveries in the Pertamina Group," continued Oki.

Menurutnya, penemuan tersebut merupakan bukti Pertamina telah bekerja keras sepanjang tahun 2025 untuk meningkatkan lifting dalam negeri.
Di sisi lain, hal ini sejalan dengan cita-cita pemerintah terkait ketahanan dan swasembada energi nasional.
"Pertamina berhasil mencapai sejumlah pencapaian di tahun 2025 ini. Ini merupakan bukti kerja keras Pertamina Group dalam hal memperkuat kapasitas produksi nasional," ucap Oki.

According to him, the discovery is proof that Pertamina has worked hard throughout 2025 to increase domestic lifting.
On the other hand, this is in line with the government's ideals regarding national energy resilience and self-sufficiency.
"Pertamina has succeeded in achieving a number of achievements in 2025. This is proof of Pertamina Group's hard work in terms of strengthening national production capacity," said Oki.
