KPK Godok Deputy Intelligence To Be The Eyes And Ears Of Enforcement
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is working on intelligence deputy to strengthen the work of eradicating corruption. The revision of the Organization and Work Procedure (Ortaka) will be prepared in the future.
"In the direction of policy that there must be one part, one deputy which later we will adjust the revision of the Ortaka into Intelligence Deputy," said KPK Chairman Setyo Budiyanto in a media talk show in the Bogor area, West Java, quoted Wednesday, November 19.
Setyo said the process of establishing this deputy was ongoing. He said the discussion was carried out thoroughly so that overlapping would not occur.
"So this is already in process, because there is already a Directorate of Investigation. If we maybe talk to or look at other APHs, they don't have an investigation directorate. But we have," he said.
Instead of overlapping, Setyo said, this deputy is planned to be the eyes and ears to catch the perpetrators of corruption. Thus, the work of the KPK Investigation Directorate can be maximized again.
For example, for example, the car factory has intelligence. They are investigating its competitors in terms of, for example, machines and others, to be able to at least design is not inferior to competitors," he said.
The intelligence at the KPK is needed because apart from the community, we are also, yes, it can be said as the eyes and ears of the leadership, but it can also be to support the tasks of eradicating corruption. So many will be arrested," continued Setyo, who has also served as Director of Investigation.

However, Setyo did not want to elaborate further on the extent to which the discussion on the Deputy Intelligence at the KPK was discussed. He only said that Ortaka's affairs would be adjusted by the Secretary-General of the KPK, which was held by Cahya H. Harefa.
Hopefully, the Secretary General will do it later. It will be adjusted to the existing nomenclature.
