National Medical Devices Industry Shows Off, Indonesia Brings Eight Companies To Medica 2025

JAKARTA - Indonesia has again shown its seriousness in strengthening the competitiveness of the national medical device industry (alkes) in the global market.

Through the Ministry of Trade, eight leading medical equipment companies were taken to the world's largest medical device exhibition, Medica 2025.

The exhibition of the world's largest medical equipment company was held from 17 to 20 November 2025 at D\"usseldorfmesse, Germany.

The Director General of National Export Development (PEN) of the Ministry of Trade, Fajarini Puntodewi, emphasized that Indonesia's participation in Medica is a strategic step to accelerate the penetration of medical equipment products in the global supply chain.

Indonesia's participation in the 2025 Medica is expected to strengthen the penetration of our medical device products in the global market, open up long-term opportunities for cooperation, and contribute to increasing the capacity and competence of the national medical device industry. This effort will encourage Indonesian health products to be more competitive and able to meet global market needs," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, November 18.

The opening of the Indonesian Pavilion led by the Secretary of the Directorate General of PEN at the Ministry of Trade Arief Wibisono, accompanied by the Indonesian Consul General's Acting in Frankfurt Toary Worang and Inspector II of the Ministry of Trade Digdiyono Basuki.

In this exhibition, Indonesia brought eight medical equipment business actors to display their best product portfolio.

The company includes Graha Tekno Medika with hospital completeness products such as diagnostic and surgical tools; Haloni Jane with medical gloves products; Jayamas Medica Industri with medical mask products, antiseptics, and syringes.

Then, Oneject Indonesia with radiology equipment products, syringes, dialysis equipment, and urological equipment.

Furthermore, Rejeki Putri Eliman with disposable adult diapers and masks; Sugih Instrumendo Abadi with ISO certified medical device products; Sterin Laboratories with hygiene and hygiene products; and Elvinco Med Tech with rapid test kit products for malaria, hepatitis, and drug abuse detection.

Puntodewi revealed that the Indonesian Pavilion had attracted the attention of many foreign visitors even before the exhibition began.

This enthusiasm can be seen from the many requests for business meetings that have been scheduled through the Fair Match business assessment application.

The Indonesian Pavilion has succeeded in attracting visitors from various countries, including Germany, the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, England, France, and Singapore.

"Their main interests include opportunities for strategic cooperation in the development of human resource competencies, improvement of medical equipment technology, and exploration of various products displayed by Indonesian participants," said Puntodewi.

Meanwhile, President Director of Graha Tekno Medika, Masrizal Achmad Syarief, who was present as a participant in the exhibition, said that this exhibition offers various opportunities for companies, both through business transactions and potential cooperation.

"The occurrence of business transactions is one of our goals in participating in this exhibition. In addition, strategic cooperation with world-class medical device companies is one of the reasons we participated in the Medica exhibition," said Masrizal.

Pasar Jerman sendiri akan tumbuh dari 33,6 miliar dolar AS pada 2024 menjadi 40,08 miliar dolar AS pada 2029.

Indonesia mencatatkan kinerja ekspor yang kuat.

Data Statista menunjukkan nilai ekspor peralatan kesehatan Indonesia mencapai 3,34 miliar dolar AS pada 2023, melonjak 200 persen selama 2020 hingga 2023.

“Capaian ekspor tersebut menunjukkan potensi besar industri alat kesehatan Indonesia. Keikutsertaan Indonesia di Medica 2025 akan semakin memperbesar peluang bisnis bagi pelaku industri nasional untuk bertemu langsung dengan calon mitra internasional,” ujar Puntodewi.
