Facing Nataru, The National Police Discusses Anticipation Of Extreme Weather And Transportation Lines

The National Police affirms its commitment to ensure that the security of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) momentum can run smoothly and even better than previous years. Preparation efforts have been made early on.

One of the preparation efforts, namely the meeting between the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and the Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi and his staff at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday morning. Various materials related to Nataru's security this time became a discussion at the meeting.

"This shows the seriousness of the National Police, relevant ministries/agencies, the Minister of Transportation, and other stakeholders to ensure that the security of Christmas and New Year this year can run safely, orderly, smoothly, and better than the implementation of previous years," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Pol Sandi Nugroho at Bareskrim Polri, Jakarta, Monday 17 November.

Sandi revealed that the focus of discussion on this meeting includes security on routes and modes of transportation which will be widely used by the majority of the community at the Nataru 2026 momentum. In addition, the issue of potential extreme weather is also discussed to prepare anticipatory steps, especially at disaster-prone points.

"BMKG conveys that the rainfall is high and the weather is less conducive. So which areas we need to anticipate are prone to disasters," said Sandi.

Sandi hopes that Nataru's momentum this time can run smoothly and safely. He emphasized that the National Police is committed to coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of this momentum.

"That may be the subject of the discussion with the presence of the Minister at the National Police Headquarters," he concluded.
