DPR Leaders Investigate Reports To MKD Regarding Alleged False Diplomas Of Constitutional Court Judges, Ex-DPR Members
JAKARTA - The DPR leadership stated that it would investigate the report of the Constitutional Monitoring Community Alliance (AMPK) regarding the alleged negligence in the fit and proper test process for the candidate for judges at the Constitutional Court (MK) which took place at Commission III of the DPR in September 2023.
This report relates to the alleged fake diploma of the doctoral program of the Constitutional Court judge, who is suspected of being a former member of Commission III of the DPR, Arsul Sani. The allegation against the US has also been reported by AMPK to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police.
"So I'll see later, usually when there is a report, the MKD leadership submits a letter to the leadership. It's normal through us because the core is at Korkesra, we will investigate it, we will see what the report looks like," said Deputy Chairman of the DPR for the Coordinator of People's Welfare (Korkesra), Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal, at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday, November 17.
"For example, if it continues, it is also necessary for the MKD to verify the report. Verify whether it will follow up on the MKD, yes, we will discuss it later with the MKD leadership. I will update it now," continued the PKB politician.
Cucun believes that the report will be followed up through leadership meetings and meetings at the MKD.
"When we are included in the leadership of the DPR, we will discuss it. If for example, the MKD will follow up on the position," he said.
"Because this is the authority in the MKD to verify all existing cases. Every day there must be many of them, including the Commission III report, reporting related to diplomas with the RKUHAP. Yes, we will check with the MKD leadership later," continued Cucun.

Regarding the verification of Arsul Sani's election as a judge of the Constitutional Court, Cucun said that his party would see the progress of the report made by the MKD.
"Yes, it will be seen in the MKD. What will be deepened in the MKD. The report will then definitely be verified by the MKD," he said.
Cucun ensured that this report would not interfere with the ongoing discussion of the RKUHAP at Commission III of the DPR. Moreover, the RKUHP has been decided in level 1 discussions and will soon be brought into the plenary session.
"Yes, if the discussion is TK1, the mechanism cannot be disturbed by this. Later the mechanism will exist, if it does not agree with the contents, it can be through a Judicial Review," he concluded.
