Basarnas Notes The Number Of Victims Died As A Result Of The Cilacap Landslides Increased
CILACAP - Head of the Cilacap SAR/Basarnas Office Muhammad Abdullah said the number of victims who died from landslides in Cibeunying Village, Cilacap Regency, Central Java, increased to 13 people with the discovery of the body of Diah Ramadani (17).
"The victim on behalf of Diah Ramadani was found dead at Worksite A-1 at 14:58 WIB," he said as SAR Mission Coordinator (SMC) in Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap, Sunday, November 16 evening.
Previously, he said, the SAR team also found the bodies of landslide victims on behalf of Kasrinah (47) at Worksite A-2 at 12.03 WIB. Thus, he said, as many as two bodies of landslide victims were found on the fourth day of the search operation, Sunday today.
"The total number of victims who died who had been found until the fourth day of the search operation was 13 people, so there were still 10 people who were in search," he said.
Furthermore, he said that on the fourth day of the search operation, the SAR team also found one human body part at Worksite A-1 at 15.10 WIB.
According to him, the SAR team also found one human body part at Worksite B-1 at 15.05 WIB.
"This discovery is the result of the hard work and synergy of all elements of the team in the field, although the terrain is quite difficult and the weather conditions are uncertain," Abdullah said.
The landslide disaster occurred on Thursday (13/11), around 19.00 WIB, and buried a number of houses in Tarukahan Hamlet and Cibuyut Hamlet, Cibeunying Village, Majenang District, Cilacap.
The landslide damaged 12 houses and threatened 16 other houses in an area of about 6.5 hectares. Landslides stockpiled settlements and caused 2 meters of land to fall and 25 meters of cracks.

Based on data as of Sunday (16/11) night, the total number of victims affected by landslides was 46 people, consisting of 23 survivors, 13 deaths, and 10 others are still being searched.
