Janice Tjen Is In Two WTA Award Nomination Categories And Leads Polling 'Large Kejutan 2025'

JAKARTA - Tennis Indonesia, Janice Tjen, is included in several categories of WTA Award 2025 nominations. Not only that, the 23-year-old athlete is also leading the list of 'Big Kejutan 2025'.

Launching the WTA page, Janice Tjen is included in the selected list for the 2025 Fans' Favorite Singles category.

The name of the Jakarta-born tennis player then appeared again in the Best Tournament Moment category: WTA 250s or Best Moment Tournament: WTA 250.

His action through the final of the Sao Paulo Open 2025 was nominated considering he was the first Indonesian tennis player to become a WTA Tour finalist in his 23 years.

Before Janice Tjen, the last Indonesian tennis player to reach that stage was Angelique Widjaja who won the Pattaya Open 2002 (Thailand Open).
