Pasar Jaya Continues Revitalization Of Pramuka Market, Traders Get Rental Price Relief

JAKARTA - Perumda Pasar Jaya continues the revitalization program of Pramuka Market, East Jakarta, as part of efforts to improve traditional markets so that they are more organized and feasible for traders and visitors.

Public Relations Manager of Perumda Pasar Jaya, Irfan, said the right to use the place of business in Pramuka Market had expired since May 2024. However, until now, traders still occupy their kiosks without being charged an extension fee.

"Perumda Pasar Jaya has responded and followed up on all the aspirations and inputs submitted through various parties, including several factions of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Commission B, Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Kemenko Polhukam), and the Indonesian Ombudsman," said Irfan in his statement, Friday, November 14.

Irfan explained that the follow-up policy regarding the right to use the Pramuka Market traders' kiosk was determined after a meeting with the Governor of the Special Region of Jakarta on October 9, 2025. In the results of the meeting, the decision authority was returned to Pasar Jaya while still referring to applicable regulations.

As a form of transparency, Pasar Jaya held a discussion room with traders on October 14, then conveyed the final price for the extension of the right to use through an official letter to the Scout Market Pharmacy Traders Association (HPFPP) on October 20, 2025.

"Perumda Pasar Jaya has adjusted the price of extension and the right to use business premises to maintain a balance between the sustainability of traders' businesses and the sustainability of economic healthy market management," explained Irfan.

He added that the determination of the tariff was carried out by considering the results of a study by the Public Appraisal Service Office (KJPP) so that the rental price was set objectively and according to market reasonable standards.

"The results of the study are the basis for setting prices for extending the right to use business premises, even Pasar Jaya provides relief by setting the price for extending the right to use business premises below the recommended value by KJPP," he said.

This policy is referred to as a form of the company's alignment with traders so that they can continue to operate at affordable costs.

In addition to the adjusted price, Pasar Jaya also provides a lighter payment scheme, including discounts and installment facilities for the rental period of up to 20 years.

"This step is a form of the company's commitment to prioritizing the principles of justice, openness, and partiality to traders," said Irfan.

He emphasized that his party was trying to find a halfway point so that the revitalization of the Pramuka Market would not only fix physical buildings, but also have a positive impact on the sustainability of traders' businesses.

"The revitalization of the Scout Market is expected to create a more organized, hygienic, safe, and comfortable market environment, as well as be an example of the transformation of traditional markets towards modern management without leaving people's values behind," he concluded.
