South OKU Police Cyber Detection Of Judol Through Tiktok, Perpetrators Arrested In Palembang
JAKARTA - The Special Crime Unit (Pidsus) of the South Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Police in South Sumatra (Sumsel) revealed a case of online gambling (judol) via live streaming on the TikTok application.
"We have secured the judol perpetrators with the initials MH (26), a resident of Simpang Agung Village, Simpang District, South OKU Regency," said South OKU Police Chief, AKBP I Made Redi Hartana through Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Aston L Sinaga in Muaradua, Thursday, confiscated by Antara.
He said the disclosure of this case began with a cyber patrol carried out by the Pidsus Unit on October 20, 2025.
The patrol found the TikTok accounts MAS MODE and BANG MEAS which carried out live streaming containing online soccer gambling.
Finding an account containing the gambling, a member of the Pidsus Unit then conducted an investigation disguised himself as a gambling player on the live stream.
"From the results of the analysis, we managed to identify the account owner who did live streaming online gambling," he said.

Officers managed to find the location of the perpetrator in a boarding house in Kelurahan 14 Ulu, Seberang Ulu II District, Palembang City, then an arrest was immediately made on November 6, 2025.
"The perpetrator's modus operandi is to offer online gambling games to TikTok live streaming audiences. The perpetrator asks the audience to send money to the digital wallet "DANA" with a nominal varying between Rp. 20,000 to Rp. 100,000," he explained.
The perpetrator will be charged with Article 45 paragraph (3) Jo 27 paragraph (2) of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning the second amendment to Law Number 11 of 2008, with a maximum imprisonment of 10 years and a maximum fine of IDR 10,000,000,000.
"Currently, we have secured the perpetrators at the South OKU Police Headquarters for further legal processing," he said.
