BMKG Warns Potential Heavy Rain Accompanied By Strong Winds In Several Big Cities

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued an early warning in the form of potential light, moderate to heavy rain which could be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in various major cities in Indonesia on Wednesday, November 12.

Meanwhile, several other big cities will experience light to moderate rain, namely Padang, Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Bandar Lampung, Serang, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Pontianak, Samarinda, Palangkaraya, Banjarmasin, Palu, Gorontalo, Manado, Ternate, Ambon, Sorong, Nabire, Manokwari, Jayapura and Jayawijaya.

Several other big cities are predicted to only experience cloudy conditions today, including Banda Aceh, Jambi, and Jakarta.

For the forecast for sea waves in the territory of Indonesia, BMKG predicts that generally it is in the range of 0.5 to 2.5 m, while high waves of more than 2.5 m to 4 m have the potential to occur in the North Natuna Sea and the North Pacific Ocean of Papua.
