SKK Migas Encourages Pertamina And The National Private KKKS To Work On The Tuna Block After Being Left Behind By Harbor
JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) encourages national Cooperation Contractors (KKKS) to replace Harbor Energy in working on the Tuna Block.
Head of SKK Migas Djoko Siswanto hopes that PT Pertamina (Persero) will become an oil and gas company that will manage this oil and gas field in the Natuna Sea with the Russian company, Zarubezhneft.
"We hope that Pertamina will be there, there will be a national company. Yes, I hope so. Who else is a state-owned company besides Pertamina. Well, also other national private companies," said Djoko to the media crew, Tuesday, November 11.
Djoko has also asked Harbor Energy to speed up the determination of his replacement in the Tuna Block.
He even encouraged Harbor to complete the Farm Out process this month.
"I encourage you to ask this November to finish, that's a decree so you don't delay. Pertamina and other partners can do it too," continued Djoko.
Previously, Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri said that his party always looked at every potential that could increase the achievement of oil and gas lifting and production.
"If there is an opportunity for us to increase the lifting, of course we will encourage and we want to take part," Simon told the media crew, quoted on Tuesday, November 11.

Simon added, if it gets the trust of the government to work on this oil and gas field in the Natuna Sea, Pertamina ensures that it follows all procedures set by the government.
"Just follow the procedure later. From the rules, compliance, etc. However, the point is that as long as it can increase production, of course, we welcome it well," said Simon.
