The South Lampung Resort Police (Lamsel), stated that the perpetrators of the money multiplier shaman in Suak Village, Sidomulyo District, also committed acts of obscenity against the victim.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Lampung Police, AKP Indik Rusmono, said the perpetrator was named Dedi (40), a resident of Suak Village, who was arrested on suspicion of a criminal act of fraud under the guise of a shaman who multiplier of money.

"The perpetrator also sexually abused five of his victims, including minors aged 12 and 10 years. The suspect used a consistent fraudulent method, involving rituals and promises of financial benefits," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 11.

According to him, the perpetrator was arrested at his house along with a number of evidences for the practice of shamanism, ranging from one Vivo cellphone, two gray Lempang bags, two bags used for the ritual of multiplying money and several white fabrics.

"The suspect's mode is that this is a ritual so that the overall money can double, in his ritual the suspect asks his victim to take off his clothes until finally the perpetrator and the victim have intercourse like husband and wife," he said.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 81 of Law number 35 of 2014, concerning amendments to Law number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
