Pramono Wants To Fix Jak Lingko, 1,000 Microtrans Drivers Will Be Given Training

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung expressed his intention to fix the JakLingko transportation system through training for 1,000 new drivers. Pramono will improve service quality and improve the professionalism of Microtrans drivers operating throughout Jakarta.

According to Pramono, this improvement was carried out following many public complaints regarding the behavior of Microtrans drivers in the field.

Pramono admitted that some drivers still treat their fleets like private vehicles and do not comply with the driving rules set by Transjakarta.

"I agree with what the Microtrans is doing to conduct training of approximately 1,000 new drivers. Training and so on. We will make improvements to Jak Lingko," said Pramono in South Jakarta, Monday, November 10.

Pramono said that this program will be implemented by PT Transjakarta as the BUMD managing the JakLingko system. In addition to preparing new drivers, training is also a momentum to evaluate the performance of old elderly drivers.

"So, Transjakarta will conduct training. Because what is it, JakLingko or Microtrans are many in Jakarta and some are over 58 and 60, and they also later, we need to evaluate their performance," he said.

Pramono emphasized that this step is also directed at creating a regeneration of the driver's energy so that services are safe and comfortable for passengers. He highlighted several complaints that arose from passengers regarding reckless driving behavior or did not comply with public service standards.

"Because often the complaints in Jak Lingko are like having your own car, bringing his family, speeding, and so on," he said.

Pramono hopes that this driver training program is expected to increase public confidence in Microtrans transportation mode which is an important part of the integration of Jak Lingko services.

"Well, the President Director (Transjakarta) said that later he would repair the rejuvenation of 1,000 drivers for Jak Lingko so that they were more organized and I agreed to that," concluded Pramono.
