12 Officers Deployed To Open Again Cianjur's South Road Was Closed By Falling Trees

JAKARTA - The Cianjur Resort Police (Polres) in West Java together with joint officers completed the handling of fallen trees that closed the southern route of Cianjur, precisely in Sukapura Village, Cidaun District, so that it can be passed normally, Monday, November 10.

Head of Gakkum Satlantas Cianjur Police, Ipda Ika Cakra, said a large fallen tree closed all major road runways connecting sub-districts and cities/regencies in the southern region of West Java.

"So the joint officers carried out quick handling so that the traffic flow could return to normal, during the handling carried out by the Cianjur Police Traffic Unit officers directed motorists to take a circular road," he said in Cianjur Monday, which was confiscated by Antara.

By noon the traffic flow returned to normal from both directions, but officers were alerted to urge road users to increase their vigilance and caution when passing, especially when heavy rains hit the southern region of Cianjur.

The executor of the WMK 6 Sindangbarang Fire Station, Syarul Pajri, said that around 12 joint officers completed the handling of fallen trees that had cut off the southern main route of Cianjur, precisely in Cikampang Village, Sukapura Village.

Officers with a chainsaw and pickup truck carried out treatment quickly so that Monday morning the vehicle was able to pass from both directions, there were no casualties or vehicles that were hit by a tree because the traffic flow was quiet at the time of the incident.

"In the afternoon, the process of cleaning the location of the branches and branches scattered completely is carried out, so that the main route connecting the sub-districts and cities/districts in the south of West Java can be passed normally," he said.

Extreme weather that still hit the southern region of Cianjur, he said, made his party alert all officers at the Sindangbarang Damkar post in coordination with the sub-district leadership communication forum (forkpimcam) to carry out rapid supervision and handling.

"We have prepared about eight officers every day in addition to monitoring and making reports, including making quick handling in coordination with the TNI/Polri and volunteers," he said.
