Google Changes Voice And Song Search Views On Android, More Modern And Similar To AI Mode
Jakarta Google is again polishing the appearance of the voice search feature in the Google app for Android, bringing a new feel that is fresher and more in line with the Search Live and AI Mode interfaces. This update is the first major step in years for a classic sound search feature that has rarely been touched by design updates.
So far, the voice search display in the Google application only displays four typical Google colored dots that move according to the user's voice. Now, the new design presents the G logo in the middle of the screen with a prompt that says What's on your mind? (What is on your mind?), which then changes to transcriptual text when the user starts talking.
Waves of four dots are replaced with persistent visual arcs following the sound, giving a more subtle and modern impression. At the bottom of the screen, users will also find a shortcut Search a song which now appears more striking with the words Play Sing Hum confirming the integration of the song search feature by singing, saying, or playing music.

Not only visuals, Google also updated the sound (ping) effect that indicates the microphone is active or off. This new sound is synonymous with the distinctive tone in AI Mode, making it part of Google's sound ecosystem and AI unification.
This update indicates that voice search is still a popular feature among Android users. In addition, Google seems to be working on aligning the entire search experience from voice, AI Mode, to Lens to appear uniform, intuitive, and futuristic.
However, this new voice and song search design has not yet been widely released, and is still in the gradual launch stage for Android users in various regions.
